What is a beach club (lido)?
In Taormina, most beaches are split between free public sections and paid "lido" areas — beach clubs offering sunbeds, umbrellas, and usually a bar or restaurant on site. If you want a full day of comfort rather than bringing your own towel, this is the way to do it.
Isola Bella lidos
Several beach clubs operate around Isola Bella, offering sunbeds with a view of the island itself. Book ahead in peak season, when the best spots fill up early.
Mazzarò lidos
Mazzarò has a good concentration of beach clubs with calmer water than some other stretches, making it a comfortable choice for a relaxed full day.
What to expect to pay
Budget roughly €15–30 per person per day for a sunbed and umbrella in high season, with prices varying by location and proximity to the water. Some lidos offer half-day rates if you don't need the full day.

Free alternative
If you'd rather skip the cost, every beach in the area has a free public section — see our Best Beaches guide for the full breakdown of free versus paid areas at each spot.
